You cannot discern the voice of God if you are giving an ear to the lies of the enemy.
The enemy will tell you:
- Work harder
- Try harder
- Try another method or formula
- Strive
- You’re not good enough
- You don’t deserve it
- Be better
- Be stronger
All LIES that rely on SELF! Anything that makes you self-aware or pushes you to be self-sufficient will rob you of peace and purpose!
Instead, hear what the spirit of God says, (Jesus called the Holy Spirit, the spirit of truth in John 14:16-17)
- You are enough because I am enough.
- You are strong because I am strong.
- Cease striving because I am at work on your behalf doing things you could never do apart from me!
Don’t let emotion and lies define your worth. Hear the truth of God and allow it to give you peace instead of turmoil, confidence instead of insecurity and power instead of weakness.
“I will ask the Father and He will give you another Helper, that He May Be WITH YOU FOREVER. That is the SPIRIT OF TRUTH, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him; but YOU KNOW HIM, because HE ABIDES WITH YOU and WILL BE IN YOU.” John 14:16-17
If you do not know the Spirit of Truth and would like His peace in your life, I invite you to accept Jesus as your messiah and savior.
Romans 10:9-10 says, “That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth, he confesses, resulting in salvation.”
Repeat this prayer… “I believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of a living God, my risen lord and savior.”
That’s it! That’s all! He just wants your heart! Allow Him to work. Give Him a chance to make the wrongs right. Don’t try to do it on your own. A fisherman does not clean his fish until they have been caught. Allow Him to speak truth to you about who you are! He will clean out the lies you have believed, that have controlled your emotions and have held you back for too long!
You are loved, valuable, have a God-given purpose and destiny! He wants to fulfill those desires deep down in your heart that He has put there!
Walk in freedom, knowing that He will give you everything you need… His power, His authority, His confidence and His favor! Ready to do what you were created to do!
